Before we get started, here is my offer to you.
Just answer one simple question and I’ll give you the full premium report for this idea for free.
Question: If there was a community where all your marketing queries were answered by seasoned professionals and it costs $50/month, would you pay for it?
And if you wont, at what price do you feel it will be feasible for you.
Just reply back with your answer.
With that out of the way, let’s get into the report.
This idea has been on my mind for a while now.
It is at a very early stage right now, but I think there is a huge growth upside.
I’m of course talking about Notion based businesses.
And in this case, a marketplace for Notion templates.
I was unable to find revenue numbers for these businesses but their traffic would suggest that they are not doing all that badly.
Here is the monthly traffic numbers for one of its players:
Not bad, considering they are not creating any product in-house and the demand comes from a built in audience.
There are a few things I would consider while pursuing this idea:
Make the pricing simpler/subscription-based primarily because of recurring revenue opportunities.
Slowly expand into other tools that need templates.
As far the acquisition strategy is concerned, you might have to rely heavily on search traffic. So pick a nice recognisable name so that you get brand searches instead of generic searches.
You can also look at PPC as a strategy if you can make the economics work.
You might have to charge something like $8-14 per month to make it feasible.
As far as content is concerned, I do not believe there are a lot of blogging opportunities in the domain since the space itself is new and blogging efforts will take time to show results.
Finally, the way I think this could blow up is through productivity vloggers on YouTube.
They get a ton of traffic on their videos that you can sponsor or partner with on an affiliate basis. One good video can earn you a sizeable chunk of the market.
