Idea Riff: Job Board + Community for Nurses
FYI, this is just an idea riff and not a report. I might do a report on this in the future.
So here goes..
Niche job boards have gained a lot of popularity in the last few years.
And nursing job boards are not different.
The nursing job boards I currently see are plagued with bad design, mandatory log-in without adding any value and a LOT of spammy job posts.
So here is what I’m suggesting.
Create a nursing job board with vetted jobs along with a community for nurses/aspiring nurses to interact with each other.
How to build this?
You can set up a decent job board in a couple of hours without writing a single line of code.
Use no-code tools like Carrd (Affiliate Partner), Pory or Sheet2Site to do this.
Here is a step-by-step tutorial on how to do just that without writing a single line of code (Using Pory):
Next, build the community.
You can use a no-code tool like Tribe (affiliate partner) to do that. They have a very generous free plan, so take advantage of it.
Here is a step-by-step tutorial on how to create a community without code:
How to grow this?
My best bet for growing this would be Twitter, Reddit and nursing forums (including Facebook).
Reddit communities like r/nursing should be a good place to start promoting.
You can also look at partnering with nursing groups on Facebook.
There are a LOT of them and it is almost insane the level of engagement that they have.
Another platform to grow this would be YouTube. Here is an indication of some sample search queries in the domain.
What’s next?
If you want to do this, by that I mean dedicating the next couple of months growing this then reply back to this email with a “yes”.
I’ll add you to a group of people who you can partner and possibly grow this with.
This is a good opportunity for someone who is looking for a side project.
